The Scots Club in Kearny will also be open at 12:00 pm Friday, June 19 for you to enjoy two World Cups matches USA v Australia at 3:00 PM and at 6:00 PM Scotland v. Morocco. You can also view the USA v Australia game at 3:00 pm on Friday at Veteran’s Field in Kearny. Local vendors will include Stella’s Empanada’s, R.J’s Dogs, Salamandra’s Spiritual Shop, The Crepe Escape, Curiosity by Nest, Imagine Cookies by Maya, and Carmari Creative Tea Shirts. On Sunday, June 21 the Frank Vincent Marina will be the place to be for a Marina Flea & Collectible Market. The fun starts at 9:00 am at 277 Passaic Ave., in Kearny located next to Applebee’s. There are always plenty of vendors at this event with tables and tables of affordable items, clothes, collectables, household items, toys and more. There will be bargains galore and maybe you can just pick up that item you have been looking for at a great price. The event will be by JC Promotions Inc. And then on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00 am- 1:00 pm Kearny Unico will be having a Food Drive to benefit the Kearny Food Pantry at the Presbyterian Church. The drive will take place in the parking lot of the American Legion Post 99, 314 Belgrove Drive in Kearny. Please bring your canned goods and other non-perishable foods and items and help out a great cause.
So after your busy day at watch parties and flea markets rest a little and get ready to go out on the town at The Spanish Pavillion in Harrison, NJ. Enjoy great drinks, food and LIVE Music by RPM. If you are in the mood for a little comedy this weekend head on over to NJPAC’s Prudential Hall in Newark for the popular Indian comedian Zarna Garg on Saturday, June 20 at 7:00 pm. Zarna Garg is a highly popular New York Times bestselling author and international stand-up comedian known for her sharp wit and relatable humor, about Indian immigrant life, modern parenting, and her husband and in-laws. If arts and crafts are your thing, take a short 15 minute ride to Bloomfield, NJ for the Brookdale Part Rose Squared Art Show on Saturday, June 20. The show runs from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm and is at Brookdale Park at the Watchung Park entrance. Explore dozens of artists and crafters display their creations. This outdoor event is always a pleasure and so much fun. The hot days are upon us so don’t forget that the Kearny Open Pool Program is an all year round program that is great for children and adults alike. Spring and fall times are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Extended summer hours begin soon and run Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and Saturdays from 11:00pm-3:00pm. Pool restrictions apply. Badges are required and may be purchased at the recreation office at Town Hall.
