Sounds of the 60’s outdoor concert
This Friday, July 31, 2026 don’t miss a night under the stars enjoying the music of The Kelton Cooper Band playing the “Sounds of the 60”s. The show is part of the Essex County Parks Calendar free summer music series. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a wonderful night of the music of the 1960’s. The show starts at 7:30 pm at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield/Montclair.
KGC Competition cheer team fundraiser
Come on out to support the KGC Competition Cheer Team at its Pollada Chicken Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday, August 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. at American Legion Post 99, 314 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Plates are $20 and include ¼ chicken, potatoes, fresh salad, choice of sauces, and a soda. Dine in or take out, with music, dancing, and a staffed Legion bar. International food festival at Mulberry Commons
On Sunday, August 2, 2026 enjoy an evening of great food and culture at The Newark International Food Festival. This free event is from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Mulberry Commons outdoor venue directly across from the Prudential Center in Newark NJ. This premier culinary and cultural experience celebrates global culture, cuisine, creativity, and the vibrancy that defines Newark’s nightlife. The event will bring together acclaimed restaurants, chefs, beverage partners, cultural organizations, and entertainers for an evening of curated food experiences and beverage offerings, with live music.

“National Night Out” family fun
The Kearny Police Department invites residents to National Night Out 2026 on Tuesday, August 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Belgrove Drive. This free community event features local vendors, free ice cream, a video game trailer, opportunities to meet representatives from various township departments, and a friendly softball game between the Kearny Police Department and the Kearny Board of Education. National Night Out is designed to strengthen community partnerships and bring neighbors together for an evening of fun, connection, and civic pride.
